Who We Are
The New Jersey State Law Enforcement Officers Association was formed in 1938, incorporated originally as the New Jersey State Rural P.B.A. It was incorporated under and by virtue of an act of the legislature of the State of New Jersey entitled "An act to incorporate Associations not for Pecuniary Profit" approved April 21, 1898.
Throughout the years the Association has undergone many changes, including two name changes. On institution of their last name change to the New Jersey State Law Enforcement Officers Association, membership privileges were expanded to include all Law Enforcement Officers and Associates. Currently, the Association includes members from Federal, State, County and Municipal Law Enforcement Agencies, including Special and Auxiliary Police.
